We have a huge cupboard in the hall, which is filled to the brim with tents and other camping stuff. So much so that its a work of art getting the hoover put away!
Soft stuff like sleeping bags and carpets are in the top of the wardrobe. The camping loo is the only thing that goes in the loft but to be honest during the summer it spends most of its time on the landing in a large storage bag which isnt perfect but at least it looks tidy, and no-one would know whats in there!
Storage at home is the one thing that has stopped me buying more stuff - I dont like having it in the shed and there is just nowhere else for it to go.
We do have a cutlery box and a kitchen box so have sharp knives, scissors, bottle openers etc just for camping. This does make life a lot easier. During the season I have things like w-up liquid, coffee, tea etc packed and ready to go.
Our spare bedroom is our camping room for tents, loungers, cooker etc..we too have seperate kitchen stuff ,we have wicker baskets for camping kitchen equipment and all camping bedding...these are in living room disguised as coffee tables

and lots more besides
Som years ago my ex-husband was so friendly to offer me a space in his basement for storing my old - cheap -tent. When I got it out in spring, it was litterally eaten by RATS - even the zippers had been eaten partly! Still fighting with the insurance about it. At least it gave me an excuse for bying a bigger and better tent.
Just now I have my tents in a garden shed because of lack of space, but before winter I need to find a solution and have them indoors - will not risk rodent attacs again!
