Coleman Sportster, single burner, or Coleman 424 double burner, both run on unleaded, very efficient and economical.

Have to agree with Breezy - I have both of these and have tried loads of different types - IMO these are without doubt the best - ultrapowerful, cheap and easy to use.  Superb!

Rather depends on the sort of camping you are going to do.

Backpacking, pacing everyting into a small car ot taking a trailer ?

Used Sportster and Double Burners by Coleman for years but recently converted to a Primus Multifuel stove. Brilliant. Petrol or gas canisters. Goes like a jet engine. Extremely compact. Expensive. Taken apart in about two minutes for maintenance. One tool. Google it and read the reviews.

Primus Himalaya Multifuel Stove

Primus Himalaya Multifuel

£90

Burns: Virtually anything including gas

Time to boil 1 litre: N/A (gas) N/A (unleaded)

Weight: 450g

Primus have obviously had a good look at the established MSR designs and had a go at improving them. The result is an impressive stove, which burns pretty much everything including gas.

P.S the writing under the picture was like that on the site.....

Have a look....

when we had the tent we had a colemans dual fuel stove also. We ran it on unleaded petrol. Great performance for such little amount of petrol. would definatley recommend them.
