LIDL are currently stocking all purpose camping matting, bought some today and it seems pretty good, 2m x 3m and made of a soft rubbery plastic. It will be ideal inside our tent porch. I can't seem to hyperlink it as it asks for your postcode details etc, but its on www.lidl.co.uk and in the section headlined 'outdoor essentials'
I was toying with the idea of buying this the other day but decided against it in the end...the only thing that put me off was the thought that if it rains heavily, water might come up through the matt and lead to a soggy porch floor?? Or would this be very unlikely?
Size wise it's a really good match for our porch, so I'm still debating whether or not to get one...

2013
March - Pooley Bridge (Pod booked!)
May - Spiers House, Pickering
June - La Garangeoire, Vendee, France
Aug - The Cotswolds?
Laid it out on the ground today, and its ace! In bare feet it feels soft warm and little bit sticky, but it's breathable and should act as an adequate floor for the porch.
I got one the other day and it is brill. It is big and you can cut it to any size or shape. I am considering getting another if there are any left. Only had blue in the Telford store as far as I could see but it matches our tent perfectly.
It's almost the same as the bodywork protectors that go with motorcycle luggage but many times cheaper, it's tempting to cut it up and flog on ebay.
It looks nothing like it does it the picture but it is grippy and comfortable underfoot so should do well as a layer on top of my SIG, protecting it and making it nicer to walk on. Now I just need to sew the two I bought together to make a wall to wall carpet for my tent. I was lucky and got the last two grey sheets, the blue would have clashed with my green tent.
