they are dithering around about what to do. It does not even register on my laptop. its clearly faulty. I will give them a choice today, change it or oney back
If you have an Aldi near you pop in to see if they have any left They are not on special at the moment but Aldi just put everything electronic that doesn`t sell in a cabinet.Worthwhile looking.Cheers.Alex
did you instal the drivers and programs from the disc ,you should have recieved the usb dongle the arial which conects to the dongle and the disc ,
mine came with a remote to ,mine has blaze software works well ,but you will have to get a better arieal ,take it out side to run the scan for the programs or plug it into you house arial.
For tenting purposes we just take the radio for the news and the days events and a laptop loaded with downloaded TV shows and films for the evening. When we use statics We always take a tiny media player that we bought off amazon for £17.00. That just plugs into the TV and again plays anything we have pre-recorded onto a flash drive. I can't be doing with aerials they never seem to work when you need them to.
Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I am a major numpty when it comes to all things technical - if I buy a freeview dongle, do I also need to have internet access? I don't understand how these things work, but if a freeview dongle works without internet access, I would be very happy:)

A free view dongle requires no internet connection .
------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
we bought one from Aldi last year for about £18.Its got a small dongle that the small supplied ariel plugs into.We have managed to watch most freeview channels and radio everytime its been used when weve been camping. You do have to retune when you relocate but it only takes a few mins.Im sure you got a disk to programme it in which must have been easy if I done it!!! Works a traet for the money.
maplin do a good one too Kworld make it . the cheap version has single tuner , the one for a fiver extra has twin tuner so you can record one and watch the other and hads a remote . no fancy "camping" aerial required just a simple portable one that also came from maplin. great for in the car for the kids too
the Aldi one we have can be tuned to loads of Countries. You just choose the country your in from the retune list and follow the same instructions as at home, dead easy.
