If it's all the lights on the right handside, thats unusual, but if it's just say the side light or brake light etc, then it could either be a connection in the trailer plug, or the cars towbar socket.
Failing that, if your using the cam-bus wiring system, which if you are the fault would show up on the dashboard, I am guessing not, in which case locate the bypas unit in the boot, and check that one of the scotch lock connectors has not failed, these mostly terminate at your cars rear light clusters.
Before you start delving into the car side of things, plug your trailer into a friends towbar, just to verify that the fault is not trailer side. which most times it is.
