Does anyone try these in the shops before they buy? If so which shop would let you lay on one?
Thinking towards buying some. Would need 4.
What price would I be looking at for 1 or 2 night mats.
Trying to cut down on setting up time for 1 or 2 nights plus the putting away time.

Hey you *waves*, I got 2 of the Gelert 3cm SIMs for lil one and carer, ive had a go and for 3cm its quite comfy even for my bulk, madam loves here and has the Quechua sleepin bed with built in SIM to give her more padding.
I would suggest going for a 5cm or even 10cm tho, the gelert 10cm are around the £40 mark but when I was buying everywhere was sold out, pitty you werent closer you coulda tried these ones then decided if you wanted more padding.

Looked at the sleepin beds. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/sleepin-bed-camp-1p-print-pink-113788448/
Is this the style?
She is using a quilt at the moment, 13.5 tog.
Would this give the same warmth?

http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/hiking-sleep-bags-built-in-mattress-169238753/
On that page.
11°C comfort, 6°C comfort limit temp. (standard EU test). Insulating mattress.
Is what it says so id say summer use which is all we need. They do Thermo versions further down that page:
0-24°C comfort, -5°C limit temp. (EU test): 2 removable thicknesses, hood.
Bit more expensive but not bad for mat and bag in one and you wouldnt slide off during the night.

We switch from blow up beds to Alpkit Dozers, fantastic SIMs which give an excellent night sleep... we really haven't missed the blow up air beds at all.

I have tried them in the store. I just put the sample on the ground and lay on it in the middle of the aisle. I didn't have any rocks handy. I thought the all in one in decathlon was great if I remember correctly it had a little slot to stick your feet out if you get too hot.

Im guessing decathlon would let you try them too or most likely have one out for that reason. They also do their own SIMs too.

Mmmmm I feel a visit to a store coming on. If you see a woman in fleecy pj's and bed socks in store, you know why!

'On a rocky bed'? What does that mean?
I'll have to have a lie on all those expensive Thermarests next time I'm in, although I might feel a bit daft if I'm there on my own lying down in the middle of a shop.

In the Cotswold shops they have an area with rocks cemented in the floor to simulate what it may feel like when you use the mat on a mountain side/ outdoors on hard ground
