What is the best lighting for inside a tent.
Last year we used a small Alpkit light and a couple of round multi LED lights.
The light was quite harsh.Would like a more subtle lighting in the tent.
Are gas lamps the way to go? or a plug in pendant light?
It's really good and you can vary the light you get by what bulb you plug in. We take an energy efficient one as gives a softer glow, doesn't get too hot (in case it touches the tent fabric) and is more sturdy for transporting.
We also have a couple of UFO lights like these for when we've not got EHU.
Ive used a table lamp, which was quite nice, but not very bright we only had a 40w (energy saver) bulb in so ive been thinking of the vega tent light that hangs from the roof and connects to the electric hook up. But cant find any reviews of them, but the Tauri seems very similar.
when we go if its ehu we take 2 small table lamps/ bed side lamps they are a much softer light that led lamps , if we go without ehu campinggaz lamp and a coupleof lantterns for the kids
We had LED's last season, but I have now dug out a standard workmans inspection light like this with an 11w low energy bulb, works well enough for the loft so my thinking is it should be good for the tent....
Gas lamps give the nicest light, but you need to be careful with them inside a tent as the glass & top get v hot. A gas lamp is best used on table sitting outside really. If you are not on ehu stick with battery lamps for in tent.
