The one that uses screw in cartridges is the HP, and I believe Argos' photo for the HP is in fact a LP.

IMHO, the HP is not good as a BBQ as I have not been able to get it hot enough to cook as a BBQ. Apparently a LP one functions better as a BBQ than the HP.

I can still pan fry using both sides of the grill plate (the rippled side is more difficult to clean than the flat side), stir fry using the lid as a wok, direct cook by putting a pan/kettle on top of the fire, and bake as a little oven.

I have yet to go camping without it since I bought mine over 2 years ago, and consider it as money well spent.

DK

I bought the Safari Chef HP earlier this year and have used it for a 5 day break at Easter. I was very impressed with it for the size. Used it for a cooked breakfast and the wok for stir fries. Only used about half of the gas canister. Not used it for BBQ yet as am not big on bbqs. Incidentally Argos sell a box of 4 canisters for £14.99 which is very good value. Packs away quite small as well.

We use the bbq grid on our safari chef to cook things in foil, ie sweetcorn or fish with no problems, things such as sausages cook better on the grill plate, we find using the lid helps reduce cooking times as well
