After reading up we decided to buy a Cadac Safari Chef HP.
Went camping last weekend for 1st trip of the year, connected Chef up to HP bottle and cooked for 15 minutes. Then it stopped like it was out of gas (this worried me as I thought it was going through bottles quickly).
Took canister off & it was 1/2 full, reconnected it, and no gas was coming through the valve. Tried it with a new bottle and same result.
Is there a quick fix?
Is this a common fault or our we unlucky?
A 500g can will last me over 5 days cooking a fry up every morning!
Therefore, I believe yours may have a fault, and I would advise returning it and get a replacement pronto!

Thanks DK, we have emailed Cadac but no response yet. Having had no previous experience of using a Cadac we assumed it may be a fault but it seems unlucky to have it happen the first time we use it!
Cadacs after sales service is normally pretty good if its faulty they normally replace it. Did you have the gas cannister screwed in fully ie shoulder on cannister butted up to the shoulder on the Cadac.
