I have just purchased a Portable Gas Dual Burner stove from my local B&M. Brand Outdoor Essentials. I made the assumption that as it was run on Butane or Propane, it would be compatible with my Calor Gas Butane refillable (I have hose and regulator for this)
On reading instructions it appears it doesn't include the hose and regulator anyway, and I am confused regarding the type of gas it takes. On the box it says G30 or G31.
Can anyone offer advise or explain what I should have ? Also not sure why I can't use the Calor cylinder I have already got ?
If it has a ribbed metal hose fitting on back of stove same as on your regulator then push your hose onto that, secure with jubilee clip, connect your regulator & bottle & away you go. It will use Calor or any other bottled gas.
To assist getting hose onto stove & regulator, dip hose ends in cup of boiling water to soften.
It might just be a general warning telling you not to refill disposable cartriges & not relevant to that stove. These stoves are generally made in China & the English instructions often get a bit lost in translation.
If the stove has hose fitting on the back then it can be used with the bottle & regulator you have.

Well there is a good camping store in blackpool called kool kamping who will give good advice. This is what happens when people buy camping equipment from stores that sell everything but that have staff who know nothing. A great price is still no substitute for knowing how something as important as a gas stove works safely.
One way of looking at it i suppose but the other is save money and get the info here, that's what we are about helping where we can.

------------- they said it couldnt be done so i left it and went camping
a bad days camping is better than a good day at work

Yes, the Campingaz regulator with an R907, 904 or 901 will be fine. Don't forget the Jubilee clips for each end of the hose!
Just a couple of disadvantages - Campingaz is butane which (unlike propane) won't work at very low temperatures, and is also more expensive kg for kg than Calor, FloGas etc.
Suppose I should point out a couple of disadvantages of Calor as well!
Their smallest cylinder (3.9kg propane/4.5kg butane) is bigger than a Campingaz 907 (you said you didn't want anything too big!) and, in the event you run out of Calor on the Continent there's nowhere to exchange it.
