Hi,
We've decided to buy EHU, and want a small kettle & toaster to take along, as thiose awful camping toasters are dire!
I've seen a sunncamp toaster, low wattage, and wondered if any of you recomend them?

Kettles- I'm looking at travel kettes, guess thats right as they are lower watt/V?
There is a cookworks one in SArgos, cheap but only .4l capacity, so again, I was wondering which kettle you use?

I'm looking forward to having proper toast while camping... it's the little things eh!

Thank you, I find the wealth of knowledge here addictive, and have started buying loads of camping goodies!
Today i got a big electric coolbox worth £80 for £10.50 on ebay, fabby :))

Is that a normal toaster, or a low wattage one?
Cheers :)
The travel kettle is on sale, and I have an argos voucher, so I'll order that one!

Looking at the kitchen set up photos ( love the pics!) some of the kettles look like a normal size,
can you use a proper one if there's no other electric on at the same time?
Is this a good buy?

That looks like a very good buy! Wish they'd had the offer on a few weeks ago when I bought ours.

No need for low wattage gadgets, unless you have to use more than one piece of heating elements at a time.

Anything up to 2kW power is fine, however, only use one at a time.

Low wattage ones take forever to heat up, not worth it IMHO.

i'm with dk168, if you can cope without using kettle and toaster simultaneously, buy 'normal ones' - the low wattage kettle takes a long time and most that i have seen/owned have a tiny capacity - nowhere near enough for one of my buckets of morning coffee let alone the 3 buckets i need in order to face the day!

I agree. Not worth paying the extra money if you don't have to. Argos and Tesco's both do cheap "ordinary" kettles and toasters, you could buy both for about £15.

Gas for the whistler and a normal toaster that takes bagels and toastie bags. Also tests out the smoke alarm
