I found this  http://www.only-airbeds.co.uk/Items/intx66718?&caSKU=intx66718&caTitle=Intex%20Queen%20Size%20Raised%20Downy%20Airbed%20with%20Built-in%20Electric%20Pump thought the price was pretty good and it's Intex ( I asume a pretty good make? ).

It's only 5 foot wide...how comfortable are they really for two ( tubbyish ) adults?

We are on our third season now with the Intex, it is just wonderful. Extremely confortable, quick to inflate and deflate. Should you buy one remember to insulate underneath (we use a picnic rug), then a fleecy sheet on top held in place with a fitted sheet.

thanks..just not sure whether to go for the one I posted the link to...OR the slightly lower ( mid-rise ) one without the built in pump ( lighter weight )....and which would actually mean its only £30 all in...instead of £42.....both are on offer at almost half price.

The one you have posted is like the one we own. We really appreciate the extra height (easier to get on or off the bed). The built in pump works really well both inflating and deflating the bed. We have EHU so it works a treat. The bed comes with a duffle bag, it is quite heavy but we think it's worth the extra weight.

I've got an Intex double height air bed, but it's the single sized one (we don't like double air beds, we jiffle about too much and wake each other up, so we have 2 singles pushed together) and it's fine....except it takes too long to deflate, for some reason the air gets trapped at the pillow end, and no matter how long I spend rolling it and trying to take out the last bit with the airpump set to deflate it still takes flipping ages, and it's time I could spend doing other things when we're packing away!

Hubby has got a Tesco double height one, it was a 3rd off a couple of weeks ago so it only cost £23 (i think) and it's got a built in plug which was fab - when it went down a bit overnight he just turned the dial while still laid in bed and it inflated again (we left it plugged in all the time)

When it came to deflating it, you just turn the dial to 'deflate' and within a few minutes it was as flat as a pancake ready to fold up and put back in it's bag.

I'm hoping they get reduced again, if they do i'll be getting one too!!

I just wanted to let you know that the double height active aerobed (double size) is in Argos at £99.99 however when I went in there today to purchase one the price has been reduced to £89.99 Apparently they change their prices/offers on Wednesdays.

We have an Intex Queen size. Got it from Aldi for £40 not so long ago. They still cheap from here.

Ours was up for a week in Scarborugh and didn't go down at all, although it was cool a couple of nights when it dropped down to 6C. Next trip, we'll be following Keanonwuk's advice and insulating (thanks for that)!

HTH, John.
