Hi, we're preparing for our first trip and have just won the Grillogaz Nouveau Double Burner & Grill on Ebay - does anyone know what gas we need to use with this? I've got myself totally confused and the most info I understand is that we need a  BS3212/1 low pressure hose but to be honest that is meaningless to me. Hoping it will all become clear when we pick it up

Hi Reloadcandy

We have a Grillogaz too, it's great. Ours has a Calor gas compatible regulator attached so it fits Calor bottles. You can get Campingaz regulators which are compatible with Campingaz bottles, which I think is handy if you go on to the continent as then you can buy Campingaz there, as they don't have Calor gas there. If you've bought a used stove the sellers might give you the hose and the regulator altogether as these would normally be all attached to each other and the stove. If not you can buy the hose and whichever regulator you prefer separately. As for which bottles to buy, you can get small sized bottles at your local camping shop. Again, if it's a used stove and the sellers have any empty bottles, they might give it to you, so then you can hand in an empty for a full replacement.

That's as much as I know anyway, maybe someone else will be able to post a bit more info and make it all more clear!

Best wishes

Hi Reloadcandy,

I run mine on 4,5kg(gas weight) butane. The regulator and hose are available from any camp shop. Campingaz will, as SB says, be better on the continent but I camp at home.

http://www.mgdonline.co.uk/products/calor_butane_4-5_regulator_hose.php

The cylinder dimensions are: Height-340mm Diameter-240 mm
- Regulator type: Union 109 connection (butane)
- Recommended Max Offtake: 5 kW (0.42 kg/h)

The Grillogaz power is 2x 1920 watt rings, plus 1500 watt grill so a single ring would burn for 28 hours continuously at full power on this cylinder
