Hi all
My daughter has decided she wants to sleep on a mat as she finds the airbed uncomfortable.
I have been looking around and many are out of our price range, I also don't know if she'll get one and then prefer the airbed (7 year olds can be so fickle!!).
Anyway, Aldi have 5cm SIMs for £12 from Thursday this week. Has anyone ever bought one and if so how did you find it?
Thanks in advance
I bought one three or four years ago, and it's still going strong. It is thinner than my other newer sim, but should be ok for her. Possibly using it on top of an airbed will be the best option. I've done it this way and it was good. I also use it on top of my camp bed. They are a lot warmer than sleeping on an airbed
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
I just thought I'd update everyone, (just in case you're interested). I bought one of these and have to say I'm really impressed, so much so I went back and bought a second for my younger daughter.
They inflate easily, seem well made and are really comfortable.
I thought I'd have a battle getting it back in the bag but it went in 1st time. Yibbo!!
I bought the SIMs (oh, and then lots of other things spurred on by the reviews on here!). Agree with Sandbach68, they are well made and I have two boys who have slept on them for two nights now in their bedroom as they say they are so comfortable
Hi SalomeDaly.
To get them back in their bags, open up the valve thing fully then starting at the opposite end just roll it up really tight, squeezing out the air every so often with your knees.
Glad your boys like them, my girls have only tried them in the sitting room for a lie down , (plus my 6'4" mate who also commented on how comfy they were).
They will be trying them out properly tomorrow night when we camp in Grandad's garden.

Just a thought, I've read on here that it's best to store them inflated, out of their bags. Unfortunately I don't have the room to do that but just thought I'd mention it. (and it would solve your 'getting them back in their bags' dilemma!
It's my first post but I thought I'd come in with a gem of knowledge.
I bought a couple of the Aldi SIMs last week and had the same problem getting them back in the bag. In the end I did this.
1. open the valve. 2. roll mat from opposite end. 3. when it's rolled up close the valve. 4. allow the mat to unroll again. 5. Now that the mat is nice and thin roll it up again. 6. About 30cm from the end open the valve again to let the rest of the air out. 7. Close valve. 8. Put straps round. 9. Slip into bag. Voila.
We bought four of these last week and am really impressed with them.We are a bit greedy though as hubby and I are having two each.Very very comfy.I might velcro them together if I find they slip about too much. They seem really good mats for the price.
