Hi all,
Can someone who has/had a Pescara 8 tell me how the canopy fits to the front of the tent please.
I know its zip but where does the zip start? Does it zip round the curved top section only or from base up round and down (hope that makes sense!)?
I have a Royal Bordeaux 4 and trying to work out if the Pescara 8 canopy would fit on. The measurements are the same from what I can see.
many thanks
Dutch

Hi there - I replied on the bottom of the Pescara 8 thread as well:

It's just zipped on over the curve; the sides are added separately and attached by toggles. I couldn't comment on how good this is, as we've only used ours in dry, sunny, wind-free conditions so far! Oh, and the first time you unpack the tent, the canopy is already zipped on but you have to attach the sides yourself (and there is a definite left & right side too, as we found).

Hope this helps, if you want me to post a picture let me know.

Thank you for the info and quick response HB.
If you happen to have your tent or the canopy out over the next couple of weeks could I be cheeky and ask if you would measure the length of the zipped section for me please. Would be helpful to have the length of zip and also the width between start/end of curve and height of curved section so i can see if same or near enough to my tent.
many thanks again.

Unfortunately we due to working shifts, we won't be getting the tent out until the end of July - if I remember, I'll take a look for you then. You could always email Royal & ask them for the measurements in the mean time?

Do you already have the canopy? I don't know if they are available separately, ours came with the tent when we bought it.

Best of luck.

Thats ok, thanks anyway.
I haven't bought one yet but busyoutdoors.com are very helpful and can get spares from Royal tents so fingers crossed.
thanks again.
