I bought the SIM for GS when he goes off with the local Leisure Centre trip and it seems just fine. It is 5 cm but he is only 35 kilo.I will let him try it in his room first,

we bought one yesterday and will be taking it back today...

~laughs~

the shape of the sail just wasn't what we were after and we'd have difficulties working with it in the way we had planned...if it had been more square then it would have been fine as it seems to be of a decent quality...the fabric is reasonably heavyweight and a pale ice cream yellow in colour...it has two eyelets so therefore comes with two support poles and all 6 corners have taped loops for the attachment of guys (also provided, along with a bag of pegs)...

i managed to track down a more suitable tarp/shade sail for our purposes online last night, so back to Lidls this one goes...!!

I get fed up of seeing the deals at Aldi and Lidl and then going to the shop and what they have in stock has little relation to what is on the website or flyier.

i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the tarp i bought last night turns out to be what it states "on the tin"...a 5m square with plenty of eyelets...i'm keeping my fingers crossed...i don't want to end up with another holly leaf shaped sun shade...!!

..and those Ctek-like battery chargers always seem to sell straight away...only for them to end up on ebay!

this is an old thread from last year that someone brought back to life which is why everything mentioned here, except the shade sail, is unavailable in Lidl at the moment...there is a more recent thread regarding Lidl's most recent camping offers here...
