Just came back from two nights at Cub Camp with DD...we both took our Vango Nitestar sleeping bags (she has a woman's fit 350 mummy bag, I've got an XL 300 square) and slept on a SIM each. That's it. No extra blankets or fleeces and we just wore ordinary short sleeved cotton jersey jammies. If you've got a good sleeping bag and good insulation under you then you don't need all the extra layers tbh. Airbeds provide bugger all insulation hence the need for all the under and over layers. What kind of SIM? Well, she's got a cheapie £10 Highlander one I bought six years ago, I've got an Aldi bargain one a couple of years ago. They suffice, even for me with my dodgy disc problem.
