I've been looking at one of these http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/campingaz-36qt-xtreme-camping-coolbox-p107437

But its a bit big for what we need. Just wanted to know if there is one like this but smaller. Also does anyone know if they do keep cool for 5 days?

Thanks

Hi there,

yes def keeps ice for up to 5 days (if you prep it properly like all these types)

We are currently looking for a replacement for our 66L Igloo maxcold as its too large for the 2 of us. The thing we found witht the xtreme is that the insulation walls are much thickefr than the Igloo so the inside dimensions are quite small.

I believe - and Im sure someone will help if Im wrong, that in the xtreme this is the smallest size. There are other coleman coolboaxs that are smaller but they are not the xtreme.

As I said we are having the same problem - want to keep ice for upto 5 days but cant get an xtreme or an Igloo that will fit in the footwell of our camper. v frustrating!!

we're basically going to empty a lot of the contents of our freezer into ours 24 hours before we set off to the campsite...that'll be more than enough to prep/cool the box before use...

Cold stuff in it for a few days before hand works a treat, just keep replacing the ice packs till its lovely and cold.  We have a chest freezer in the garage and i just put the whole cool box in there for 2 days before a trip - fab lazy way to do it!

I have an Xtreme 36 and really wouldn't want to go much smaller for two people.

As D+DCAMPA has said the walls are ridiculousky thick to get the good performance. If you follow the instructions strictly on how much ice to use it really doesn't leave much room inside at all!

If I was buying again I would look more closely at Igloo and
Icey-Tek boxes as I believe they get the same performance from thinner walls.

Thanks for the replys all helped. I think I'll just buy the Xtreme Coolbox form go outdoors after all that I got a price match on it so it will be cheaper

I'll make sure I prep it properly.
