Nigel or other wise campers, would the following quick release couplings from towsure work the same as they are much more affordable at under £3 as opposed to £8
I just looked on Towsure and they only do the male end. What's the point in that?! The full kit is here http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan/gas/product_26092/Quick_release_coupling.aspx but obviously you will need a T piece also. I use one of these so that I can connect my fridge to the gay on the occasion I don't have EHU.
Cheers morgz and wrongers, i thought it looked diffferent.
This takes me back to the question though, do i need a quick release clips on each appliance if i want to just use one of the two connected appliances at a certain point in time. Or put simply if i have the t junction and i just want to use my cadac but not my double grill at lunchtime can I just do that or would i need to disconnect the grill and reconnect it later.
It doesnt seem to be worth paying an extra £20 for a quick release for each appliance if the only time i need it is setting it up at the start of the holiday and disconnecting it at the end.
------------- Manor Park Farm, Cromer every august, but somewhere different every may/June.
4 years of superior packing yet still no room in the car
Very quick service, good prices. We have 3 appliances and a set up to use any combination. The Y pieces are on quick release both ends, so they can be removed.
------------- Yes, the car is bigger than the 'van.

If there is one appliance that will always be taken regardless then that can just connect to the other side of of the T piece so that the quick release is there for the appliance you want to be disconnectable. I have this setup at the moment as I never want to take just the fridge. Only thing is it's useless now, due to useless "fridge" which I have ranted in depth about on another thread :)

no if you want to you can just setup both and leave them connected, aslong as they both have away of stopping the gas from coming out.
