I am using a crystal maxi water pump that will not shut off.
changed the pump checked for leaks, there is a very slight one where the pump plugs in to the van (new o ring needed) buts thats all..
Many thanks in advance
Just a guess, but these types of water pumps are turned on and off by a microswitch in the tap itself. Turning on tap trips microswitch on which brings on pump. Perhaps microswitch is stuck closed / on.
It is fairly common for these microswitches to fail and they are relatively easy to replace.
had a good check and there are no micro switches in the taps
But does anybody know anything about pressure switches close to the pump, and how to adjust cheers
if you post in the "caravan" section you will get more replies, but basically.....
There should be an adjusting screw somewhere, ours was where the water entered the van.
With taps closed turn it clockwise till the pump starts. Then turn slowly anti-clockwise till the pump stops. Then turn a further quarter turn and secure.
Do this when the charger is connected.
If you use on battery only you may need to adjust it further as the voltage drops.

If this and jenniferns suggestion does not work, might be an idea to check that the return / vent is clear.
Managed to fix the problem just a slight adjustment to the pressure valve and working perfect......
many thanks for all the replies have a great summer..
(If we have one)
