Hi, after lots of airbed disasters have moved onto a campbed with sim on top with single quilt wrapped around. My 7 year old thought it was the best bed ever however I found the metal down the side uncomfortable even through the quilt if and when you rolled over! Has anyone experienced the same and found a solution they could share?

Thank you!

How do you find SIM with duvet?

Alternatively, you could get some pipe lagging from B&Q to tie on to the sides?

Hi.We have done away with air beds and are trying 2 sims each. They are 5 cm depth each.We have only tried them out at home up to now but seem very comfortable.Floppitydoppity, a sim is a self inflating mattress.

I am putting them on the floor,as no room in the car for beds too but I think it is trial and error, whatever is more comfortable / practical for you.Mind you I could sleep on a washing line if need be!!!!

Thats why I went for the fishing bedchair as the mattress part covers the metal bits so you dont feel them, well on my TF Gear comfort zone you dont feel them but at the £100 plus mark youd expect quality.

Same here Emerald, all I need is the sleeping bag and a pillow for a really good nights sleep.

Mind you, it needs a bigger tent, I sold my Cabanon Noumea as it wouldn't fit and it is still a squeeze in my Kyham freelander.

I would rather change the tent than my bed now though! There is nothing like a bit of comfort.....

We use the rubberised canvas airbeds on our campbeds, perfect size and lovely and comfy, pretty cheap too!
