I have been given an old camping gaz groenland ct125n 3 way fridge with no instructions. Most is quite obvious but there is a little attached cap on the exhaust that can be sort of raised and lowered, I have no idea what this is for?
Also there is a metal sliding cover for the pilot light - should this be open or closed ?
Any help greatfully received as I am hoping to use it next weekend.

Hi Tim & welcome to the forum

We've got a Groenland fridge & it's been fantastic. It still works perfectly & even makes ice cubes. I don't know about the little cap, but do you mean the sliding cover on the top back of the fridge? If so, we keep it closed when in use. If you use it on gas, make sure it's sitting level, set it to the large flame symbol, but don't forget to turn it down before you go to bed - my hubby forgot one night, and we had frozen milk for our cereal in the morning

Don't quite see how that helps for a portable fridge?

Thanks - there is no sliding flap at the top , back of the fridge (right hand side) - just a square hole with the top of the exhaust and this attached cap thingy underneath it.
maybe mine is older or has bits missing as there are no flame symbols at all, let alone a large one :(
It's just this cap thingy that bothers me......
