The "Wide" canopy ran out in the stores about 6 months ago, although the odd one comes out on eBay. The standard/large canopy is not wide enough. However, if you don't mind the colour difference - the new Vango Samara 600 canopy has the same dimensions, all bar 5 cm, which shouldn't be a problem. The Samara 600 is essentially the same as the Sungari 600 apart from the fact that the sloping front is now straight down with side wings. The Sungari was the fibreglass lower HH spec version of the Columbia, so as the Sungari 600 canopy used to fit, so will the new Samara canopy.
We actually just use the Vango Adventure Tarp which is designed for low tents but works brilliantly using the Columbia's porch poles and a set of longer guyropes. The elasticated edge of the tarp is about 30cm longer than the roof pole of the Columbia... we can cook outside if its wet with this. We have made some side panels for it to cater for side on weather. Not everyone's cup of tea but works for us
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
