Does anyone know if it's possible to make a hole in and fit a sink waste outlet (the kind meant for a caravan) to a washing up bowl? It's the one thing missing from my Camplet set up that I'd like rather than having to empty the washing up bowl each time if I could collect the water and empty it occasionally.
The washing up bowl in my first very old Conway tt was like that, it fitted into a fold-out stand and had a length of pipe which pushed into the waste outlet, the other end going into an aquaroll-type waste water carrier. It also had a plug attached to one side. I don't know if it was originally supplied with the tt or if it was a home made thing but it certainly did the job.

I bought a plastic washing up bowl with a plug in from Tesco the other day for 99p. That'd be half the job done. Could you attach an outlet using tenacious tape? I've never used it for anything so don't know what it's like to use.
Yes its possible. Did one for the mother in law. There was a slight lip inside the bowl due to the thickness of the drain, but minimal and MIL was happy with it.
Thanks for the replies. The washing up bowl sits in a frame at the end of the worktop so there's just fresh air under it. It is a particular sized bowl for it so don't want to drill a hole in the bowl without doing some homework first cause it might not be easy to get a replacement if it doesn't work! I thought if I could have a plug hole and piece of pipe into a water carrier it would just sit nice under it. Will get a plug hole and have a look what I think then.
