Oh, and are those baskets at all ventilated? I'm wondering if bananas would go black in seconds?!

We have 2 - husband came home with one after a trip to GO and I was sceptical about how much use it would be but actually they're great - pretty sturdy, hold a lot. Good idea to keep fruit and veg in them, not sure whether the fabric would be breathable or not but certainly the zip will let some air in and you could leave it open a tiny (less than mouse sized!) crack!

I used to keep my bananas in one of those click baskets till it broke!
They might go black very quickly with no air, I keep my fruit in a dish now, as I would at home.
Then I keep the dish in the car so as not to encourage flies etc. in the tent.
Those things look very useful, might get a couple!

for bananas one of these is the best way to store them, not next to other fruit. Of course an S hook would work the same.

I am now starting to invent things. I have an old cheapo tent which I'm going to sew into bags for pegs and the like. I bet the insect mesh would make a good bag for fly-prone stuff.
Inspired now...

We noticed somebody on the beach with one last week, it looked pretty sturdy and thought it would be a great bit of camper van kit.

Not sure about a lid, I was walking behind somebody who was carrying one.
You can only examine what a complete stranger is carrying for so long without the police getting involved
