I've requested a refund of my return postage too as it cost £3.25 to send both clamps back via recorded delivery 1st class.
They emailed today asking what type of chair I used (a generic folding camping one) as the product design team and manufacturer need to carry out a full investigation. Fair enough but as Olly70 and I have the same problem in the same place it does look like a design issue or possibly just a batch where the manufacturing quality isn't quite right.
I just want my money back. I paid via paypal so they should be able to just refund the transaction (i've provided them with the unique transaction id) and then send the return postage paid to the same email address via paypal.
I've run small businesses myself and if a product is at fault, good customer service is to issue a refund asap. All they are doing is getting bad PR by dragging it on for the sake of about £15. If they had apologised and refunded me straight away instead of accusing me of lying then I would have just left the original post on this thread and this whole thread would have dropped down to page 2 or 3 by now
