Not sure where to post this, so thought under equipment as I just ordered some equipment???
anyway, I ordered some stuff of go outdoors, when I ordered it said they will check stock then update my order status. im sure some of you have ordered from them, have they normally got good stock levels, as most companies i order off send same day and have stock. It saying they will check stock sounds a bit worrying. also is there delivery time frame on their free delivery normally quite good?
sorry for the questions as never ordered from them before.
I have ordered a few things from them in the past and never encountered any problems with stock or delivery. Their delivery is usually quite fast. Hope your items turn up soon

does anyone know what courier/company go outdoors use?. Still had no delivery yet. wished they would email people tracking numbers so we would have an idea when the parcel will arrive.
phoned them last week regarding my order and although they had stock they could not tell me why the order had not been sent, and really could not be bothered to find out why, speaking to them was like pullin teeth. just thought I would get a better response here, If my call with them last week was anything to go by. Good job I was not in urgent need of the equipment.
I also emailed them last week and that email has still not been replied to, not the greatest on customer service.
Will give them the rest of today, then may give them a call, just wondered if anyone here knew what couriers they used.
I orderd for the first time recently and they sent me an email saying my item was simply out of stock..no money debited to my card. I then emailed them to ask when stock would be in as the item was an essential or would they suggest i returned all the other stuff?...no rewsponse.
Went online a couple of days later and re-ordered item...it came a week later...still no response from my email.
Great store ...poor customer service though.

I ordered 2 Rab cargo bags from them last year. When the item disappeared from their website soon after ordering, I rang to check whether they could honour my order. I was told that none of their stores had any left in stock so they couldn't honour it and wouldn't charge, but about an hour later my account said "dispatched". I checked with them again and what they had found was a single cargo bag, which they had dispatched, but I needed 2 and getting them from 2 places would have doubled postage so I cancelled. They should have contacted me to see whether I wanted to continue on that basis if they couldn't fullfill the order (as is standard practice), especially when they admitted that they were not expecting more stock. They had to retrieve the item from the courier and would only refund when it was certified that it had been returned to their warehouse by the courier. Took days to get the money back.
To be honest it was a bit of shambles and it seems that the items come from their stores rather than a central warehouse, hence why they have to check on stock levels. I haven't used them since.

When the items weren't in stock in the shop I asked if they could get them delivered to their store from where they had them in stock in the East of the country and I would do an 80 mile round trip to collect. (Marks & S do this) They refused saying they didn't do this service!

UPDATE...just recieved an email saying they "apologise for not getting back earlier but they have been inundated with emails.
I told them about my post here and advised that perhaps they should have a look as it's a popular site and can be influential in customer buying power.
We exchanged out tent today in the shop and had good service.
