Off to camp in france for first time. We have a camping chef 2 ring stove with a grill which we attach to a campingaz (907) bottle. The bottle will run out whilst on holiday and i just want some reassurance that i will be OK to swap out in france (Staying near benodet in Brittany).
From what i have read in other forums and on google i am under the impression that the campingaz bottles are widely available (at petrol stations, supermarkets, hardware stores) but i have got confused with some messages mentioning getting Pigtail connectors (i am correct that is if you have a caravan?)
There has also been mention of using "twinny" gas and buying a regulator. I am happy to go with whatever is cheapest.

You should have no problem exchanging your Gaz bottle in most places in France. A tip, if you go to a large supermarket, (Super U etc) go to the service desk at the entrance and swap your empty bottle for a voucher that you hand in when you get to the check-out.

Yes, pigtails are normally the flexible pipe joining the bottle to the regulator and fixed copper pipework in caravans. Use your 907 bottle just as you do here in the UK.

Would have been cheaper to exchange at E Leclerc.  We paid €18 for a 907 cylinder in July.   Unfortunately got the replacement cylinder and then the gas latern failed.
