Will leisure battery last a whole week if we only use it for lights? It will also be needed to occasionally ignite water heater and fridge once when we arrive.
Thanks, Benski X

Depends on loadsastuff, like how long you run the lights for. Our big battery struggles in the awning, but the little one lasts well in the bedroom as it's only on for about 1/2 hr a day. Not much help I know, but I'm sure an expert will be along in a minute.

Thanks,
I think I'm going to splash out on a 13w solar panel from Maplins. We don't need tv or microwave or awning lights.

Do not forget the water pump usage. I use a 110 amp battery and in the summer months they last about 4 or 5 days. But I probably use a little more than the basic amount. Also do not forget that providing you do not do too much without driving the car you can always plug the car into the S socket and that will provide you with a spare battery supply.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Depends on how many lights and for how long?!
I changed my lights to LED ones as they use much less power. My caravan is small and old and has 2 LED strip lights - I have used the van for a total of 11 nights and haven't needed to charge the battery up yet.

Well going by the way our's copes,it should do it pretty easily..
We stay off hook up at festival sites, for a week at a time and we've never had a problem...
As long as you go steady with the lighting(..maybe use a battery/windup lantern as well,if in doubt?),I wouldn't think you'd have a problem.

Running a fridge on the battery will kill it in hours.
Run it on gas.
A 13W solar panel is likely to be a waste of money - 13W in perfect conditions is the equivalent of 1Ah back into the battery per hour. At best you'll get 5Ah per day from it - 30Ah for the week.
It'd be better to take another leisure battery. It'll cost less, provide more power and work in the dark!

Benski,in his OP said that other than for lights,he only needed it to...
"..occasionally ignite water heater and fridge"..
..so going by that, I would assume that he's running the fridge on gas anyway.
