We currently take a wooden slatted patio side table with us when we go camping as it is a handy size and height for putting the stove on (about 2ft high, 1 1/5 ft sq), but it doesn't really pack down very well. I've been looking for a more compact replacement, but so far only seen large picnic tables, or that tiny backpacker's one which only looks big enough for 2 mugs. Anyone got any suggestions??
I bought one of these. It's nice to sit at instead of the large table in my caravan and is at a perfect height for sitting and easting. Folds flat but not very large... would hold a cooker, but you would need another table as a worksurface.
Have a search using the search facility on here I think there are lots of discussions on camping tables.
Woud this help Elite Work Station £25.00 from Go Outdoors. I use it for a small cooker as well as a work bench, plus it fold down flat, in its own bag.

2013 Nothing as yet , trying to get new boyfriend to go camping soon. Selling Maritisa 700 , so we can put it towards a VW Camper.
The Coleman mini camp table is good - has a mesh bit underneath for bits and pieces and you can either leave the legs very short or screw in the extension leg sections. Folds flat and has a solid top.
I have the same one as Cindy and would recommend it. I use it with my twin burner Cadac. There is a shelf underneath which zips up to keep the critters away from your food and I find it folds away to a very small pack size
We have the single roll up table linked to above, but we also use an Outwell Baffins stool/table combo (below). Use as a stool, foot stool or table. In fact we only take this and a backpacker table for the 3 of us when camping for a weekend. Several brands do them. We have added aluminium angle with self-tapping crews under the table top of ours in a C shape with the underside of the top of the table for the top of the stool to lot into for extra stability, but other people have found them excellent as they are. We can get 3 plates and drinks on it.
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
If you can find the table (or indeed other camping stuff on offer at B & Q) as most of it has sold out. Not available for delivery and even when you find stock in a particular store to reserve and collect alot of people are finding that the item has been sold before they even have chance to collect.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I like the look of the Elite workstation (especially at that price), but we don't have a Go Outdoors near us, and the website doesn't give dimensions for it. Could anyone that has one of these give me an idea of how big it is - open and packed away?
