Stickers etc are probably not going to make a difference, but if there is a risk of explosion from a gas bottle, then I really do think it wise to tell the emergency services. Obviously if the car or van/trailer is not on fire the risks are low. But thats for the emergency services to decide.

Easy to say that you should "prepare for the worst" but the emercency services would be under pressure to re-open roads as soon as possible to prevent further accidents. So if that means putting a fire out quickly, then they will do it. But if they KNOW that there is a gas bottle on board they would be much more cautious.

I have utmost respect for the emergency services, and I personally would want one of them to be hurt or killed because I failed to mention the pressence of a gas bottle.

Thats why we cook on electric, although we have a small cartridge type gas hob, which is stored deep in the middle of the trailer inside the microwave oven.

I have an LPG sticker on the back of my trailer. Funny how I don't get tailgaters when I'm towing.

We are talking about a 7kg gas bottle sat on the A frame of a trailer not covered or in a box just sat there for all to see so I don’t know why we had such a big debate about informing the emergency services of its presence
