The fittings are used by sailors who rely on gas so pretty universal.

Do all 3.7kg bottles come with screw taps as opposed to snap-on regulators and how is the gas pressure regulated in your setup (sorry to ask dumb question but I'm new to gas and likely to blow myself up)

For what it's worth this supplier carries a lot of Coleman stuff including the 5 foot Coleman Propane Hose & Adaptor Kit.

Thanks for your post dodge20. I spoke to the company who advised me that they had never had one leak before and to try another propane cyl. I did that with the same result so have returned the hose for exchange. Hopefully I'll get it on Friday or Saturday and I'll let you know how the new hose performs.

I think the reason the Coleman hose has an "O" ring as it is only tightened hand tight. You DO NOT use a spanner.

I just received the replacement hose and I'm pleased to say that this one works OK with no leaks. Looks like I was just unlucky with the first one.

I have to highly commend the customer service of this supplier. Someone called Andy responded to my first e-mail with helpful suggestions then spoke with me on the phone. Having done as he suggested i.e. try another cylinder if possible which didn't work either he told me to return the item and they would exchange it without any hassle.

I sent the hose back Tuesday afternoon and received the replacement today, Thursday. He even put a fiver in with the hose to compensate for the cost of return postage and my inconvenience.

A pleasure to do business with a company that puts their customers first.
