I am planning on visiting Luxembourg, France and Germany next summer and was hoping to keep an eye on the Olympics. I have a tent and electricity hook-up but was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what i would need to be able to tune into Olympic coverage. I am assuming that all the countries I will visit will have coverage avaiable so it doesn't necessarily have to be tuned to English stations (though that might be best.
Assuming you have a portable television then you only need an aerial and a pole to put it on ! Juggle around with the aerial and you should be able to pick up a local picture even with a UK standard TV
Probably best picture would be in the bar though where you can always drown your sorrows when your team has lost.
The only problem you might encounter is that other countries may well have a different view on what should be covered and its unlikely they will major on events where there is a possibility of the Brits winning!!! The best solution would be a satellite system but appreciate that you might not want the bother of all the gubbins.
Get a satellite dish and a freesat box and a satellite finder . You can do a non-freesat tune in the different countries and see which channels you get. This shows you can get terrestrial channels via satellite in germany.
