I thought about that too but OH said it would rustle too much! I'd be interested to know if other people use them.

would not be alot of help under an airbed,as they work by reflecting heat.would work better on top,but then you would get the nosie.

have read on here that having something between floor and airbed is a good idea,as the foil blankets can be picked up cheaply and are light thought would be a good idea... any other ideas are welcome

yes you are right about putting insulation under the airbed can help.something like the cheap camping mats,or the underlay for wood laminit flooring.also good to do the top with things like fleese blankets.

I have replied to post 'Cold Bed' in backpacking section. Would do link don't know how.

As for under airbeds. Daughter and grandchildren complained of cold so I spread foil space blankets on floor of bedpod under lilos and they said they felt warmer. I was in next bedpod and didn't hear rustling, which would happen if on top. Grandson slept alone in single skin popup with foil blanket under lilo and he said he was warm enough. Other alternative would be to wrap it around oneself before getting into sleeping bag.

At the price they are, and the little space taken, you could buy some and experiment.

we use a couple of old bedspreads under the air bed, then a fleecy sheet on the bed, quilt and cot blanket on the quilt.

I have spent the last couple of nights really warm, the fleecy sheet making all the difference.
