just get a length of rubber coated garden wire...wrap around the back pipe then press in the infernal shower button and cross the wire over the front of the press button ...twist to tighten...
works perfectly and not as much faff as the 'showerfriend'
Hiyas, on one of our camping trips we had the ' pain in the a$$ ' push type showers...hubby came out of shower block looking rather pleased ...in his shower cubical someone had put a cable tie around the upright pipe & then it can be slipped over the push button when needed ...guess what we have in our ' incase we need box ' ? ...yes an assortment of cable ties lol.
the push buttons are fine when newish but as they get older, they turn off quicker.on one site you were lucky to get 30sec before having to press again.
as to the ideas above of wire and cable clips, this will work fine aslong as the shower has exposed pipework.several of the sites we visit the pipework is buried in the walls, behind the tile.i think that is where the showerfriend would be usefull.
Wongers, 30 seconds, Luxury! I've been on two sites recently and I counted ten seconds before the B***** thing turned off. Push button showers are my no.1 hate on camp sites.
We used to do this as kids in the local swimming pool with the rubber arm bands they gave you.
I tried it recently though and the newer push type things have some sort of cut off when fully depressed and would only work when it started popping back out again ! ... perhaps they grew wise to our tricks :)
