Hi, I got one of these for my sister, so we put it up in my front room, they blow up very, very quickly but I thought it was very bouncy. My sister bought it to mine earlier this year when she stayed with me (first time she's got to use it properly) and she said it had gone down a bit in the night and had to fight her way up as she'd sunk in the middle! She didn't want to put more air in incase she woke us up.
Others may have got on great with theirs though.
And this is my final alternative suggestion: the Outwell Posadas Double Camp Bed: link at 45cm height with a 5cm Self Inflating topper with anti-slip backing (also by Outwell) for added comfort: link
Not the cheapest option mind, but worth a thought for versatility. I'm a big fan of self-inflating over air beds anyway but I would say it's a preference thing - you might find they are too firm for you.
Hi we bought an aerobed queen size for our tent, bought numerous different ones before. this is brilliant have taken in camping several times never goes down and we put an old blanket underneath it to protect it and it stays still. Expensive but well worth it, you can use it for guests in the house too!
Hi,
We have the Aerobed lasting comfort that is shown in your link, we have used it on all our camping trips this year and they are great! It is 48cm high according to the website and if you shop around we picked ours up for 100 quid.
Just remember that when you first inflate an airbed that the material often stretches a bit once inflated so may give the impression that it has deflated, also the air inside has been heated slightly from passing through the airpump causing it to expand slightly so when it cools to the ambient temperature it will shrink giving the feeling that the bed has deflated.
I find that if you blow up the bed when the air temp is cooler then top up before you go to bed then you will find that you will have no problems.
Also try to put some insulation between the bed and the floor to minimise the cold from further cooling the air in the bed.
Hope this makes sense as the aerobeds are awsome but a lot of people give them a bad name as they don't use them correctly and think that they deflate easily, used properly in my opinion they are better than most peoples home beds!
Thank you have been to go outdoors and tried a few things .Campbeds do not work as they did not like me sitting on the side and tipped as transfered .which ended with me in a undignfied postion and caused much laughter .Have to say the staff member was very good and helpfull .
So have ordered the aerobed after trying one similar in go outdoors but finding it to low and have a couple of thermal mats for underneath
We have a king and a double platinum raised aerobed and love them....been on several camping trips and never had a problem...very comfortable....occasionally, aerobed have a half price sale :)
