i have a large piece of cardboard and thought about using this as a stove windshield on my trip this weekend, not sure best way to go abou this any tips would be welcome. We have a elite workstation(so like a table top)that a suitcase style stove will go onto.....
here's one for a few pounds and it folds flat as well. Good reviews on this one.
As wongers said, not sure about using cardboard/ By the time you have covered it in something flame resistant (like cooking foil for eg.,) you might as well have bought one.
Hiyas, instead of the cardboard have you thought of using the case the stove comes in turned on its side ( im presuming you have suitcase stoves as that is what you mentioned? ) ...i did this on our last trip ...its better than nothing & in my opinion would be better than cardboard ?? ...im sure there is a photo of some one doing this on 1 of the threads or in thier gallery ...sure someone will know where it is lol.
Surely,if you are going to "make" a windshield for a stove(..as we are not just talking about "improvising on site"),you'd start by using something that isn't going to catch alight, now matter how close it was..?
"...should be fine.." and "..if,used sensibly..",wouldn't need to enter into it then.
