Yes, should think so. We also have the bistro and use the Sunncamp ones from our local camping shop and had no probs. I think its all to do with how much is in the cartridge (eg some hold 220 some 250 etc).
We are using the Campingaz dedicated ones in future. We have tried a few other makes but found that they don't seem to regulate the gas so well. They don't seem to last as long either. Although the Bistro can cope and you get a steady flow of gas coming out of the burner, you can hear the cannisters inconsistency in gas pressure. The issue is more obvious with our backpacking stove as the fluctuation causes scary flare ups (at any point in the life of the cannister), unlike the Campingaz ones.
