We don't have a Cadac and have only used those disposable charcoal BBQ trays. OH has now bought a gas barbie in sale at Asda!.

Do we use as is or do we need lava rocks! how do we keep it clean? Any advice would be gratefully received - he wants to try it this weekend!!

If it's similar to the one we got from Asda last year(..full height trolley,wheels one end,one long burner assembly but with two conrol knobs),then it doesn't use lava rocks(..should add,we didn't assemble the lower trolley section).

We do line ours with foil,to help keep it clean,although that does cause it to "flare-up" sometimes,as the oil/grease can gather in the foil,rather than flowing into the "drain pot"...
