I'm looking for a small (ish) 2-3 berth tent, that one person can pitch!
Reason being we have all the gear and a Vango Icarus 500 which I can't pitch without my hubby, however in the week in the holidays when hubby is working, I want to be able to take my kids camping as we have so many amazing sites near where I live.
So i've been looking at the quechua tents what are they like? And are they waterproof?!
Any other suggestions? we dont want to spend too much of a fortune and I thought I'd try get it end of season.
i love the quechua pop ups,but they are a bit pricey and can be a bit of a fath to pack(this does get easier with practise)but for a cheapish easy pitch have a look at these
The first tent I had for myself and the children was a Vango Delta, those Vango Alpha's look very similar. They are really quick and easy to pitch.
If you've set your heart on a pop up make sure its double skinned, a lot of them don't seem to be.
The only problem I had was creating a sheltered area for cooking in the rain, you will probably need something extra to do that whichever route you go down. I found my confidence had increased and got a bigger tent, but a tarp or something would do the job.
I had a quick look at the Quechua pop up 4 man today and was very impressed with the size and general look of it. Am sure it was double skinned too.....
Decathlon had the 4.1 on sale and that looked impressive also.
Decathlon do still seem to do the best range, and they are very popular. We have a beach shelter and I was suprised how quickly I got the hang of folding it down, I thought it would be a you-tube moment!
