The flat wire mesh type are more efficient than pyramid type, in my opinion, but only take 1 slice at a time. Subject has been covered several times if you search.

I've tried both pyramid and mesh type toasters and I found the mesh one to be more efficient and overall quicker in the long run. link to mesh type: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000QH2V40/ref=asc_df_B000QH2V404195925?smid=A20UFIL7MHKG1J&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B000QH2V40

dont buy the pyramid - what a complete waste of money, time and effort. it doesnt toast at all. campingaz camping chef has a toaster and with a bit of turning works a treat

Could not agree more about the pyramid toaster comments. What a waste of money. The flat mesh type are great and dirt cheap too
