We have a campingaz lantern, lovely bright warm light.  However beware if using inside tent as gas lanterns get hot and will create condensation.

I have a Primus Easylight (with auto piezo ignition but not the Duo connection which is flawed in my opinion) and absolutely love it.

Click

It is very well made and comes with a very sturdy case for in between trips. It is very quiet but still gives off that lovely gentle hiss that is typical of all gas lanterns. It gives off a good amount of light, especially if you are used to battery lanterns.

Mine cost about £35. It does seem like it will last a long time so I consider it an investment.

I have a CampinGaz Lumogaz RPZ, great lantern that fits onto the re-fillable 901 cylinders, Piezo ignitions, so lights first time every time. got that last year for £19.99 from Outdoor Action in Blackburn, although not officialy available in the UK anymore.

Last week I picked up a CampinGaz Lumogaz Plus, a Tesco clearance bargain at £4!, it uses the Easy Click disposable cartridges, that can be detached when needed, a 240gm cartridge cost £3.99.

Both lanterns are 80w equivelent, so about 4 times as bright as the brightest LED lanterns that are around. and those sell for £50 a pop, check out 400 Lumen Cree LED lantern.

also have campingaz lumogaz plus that uses the easy click cartridge - excellent - cartridges quite expensive but last a long long time - also very warm and can be as bright or dull as you like

We had a campinggaz piezo latern that fitted the 901 cylinder.  Unfortunately the valve jammed during the holiday this year.  I can't believe you can no longer get them in the UK.  I should have bought a replacement in Spain but it was €30.
