I, personally, would not mix kids, dogs and candles, especially in a tent. You can never be too careful.
I have to agree, they do look stunning (ValB is a glamping goddess) But I would be very wary with youngsters about, and we have a brainless Whippet too, and I would not trust him anywhere near them.
Hiyas ... i know you said didn't want to make anything but .......... you would just need to add some chain ...& i see that Poundland do a pack of 4 battery tea lights so wouldn't need to use a real flame. just a thought ...im sure there are many more places to get the parasol tea light frames from ...B & M, Home Bargains etc.

Candles in tents?????? Nuff said. You can make very pretty holders for tea lights out of baked bean tins with holes punched into them in a pattern though...for use OUTSIDE the tent. Might satisfy your creative and artistic urges?
Considering those tents are sold with wood burners to use inside I'm not sure people need to be paranoid about candles. I don't like that one though, if it does get knocked thats a lot of candles to chase round and put out.
Hiyas val i don't know whether to appoligize for giving you another theme to go for / extra work ..more places to look for to hide stuff from hubby or to say great go for it lol. It does look very unusual even maybe spark a few ideas to have a go at home made 1 looks simple enough.
We also use the flickering led tealights in my daughters Djakarta tent, they look lovely and are totally safe. We bought ours from ebay but Hobby craft had an offer on them in their shop last time I visited.
We use a candle lantern - much safer really as the candle is enclosed. There are loads you can get on ebay - some with plain glass, some with coloured glass, and all sorts of styles. Nice thing about the lanterns is that you can hang them outside the tent as well and the wind won't blow them out.
I've used a UCO candle lantern camping for years in my F10. Now have a Uco Candeleria that hangs off a cunning home made bracket that clips to the central pole of my Indian Lake - works a treat. Heat and light.

Tents and naked flames do not mix - i have seen the results of a tent fire - not good at all
I have seen the results of an unattended cooker causing a house fire but everyone has one!
Its all about being aware, there was a scare about children hanging themselves on the cords of blinds but all three of my children have survived my vertical blinds for the last 5 years without incident. Personally I wouldn't use candles around children, animals or a drunk OH in the house let alone a tent but have some battery LED ones from poundland that are effective.
