I have just purchased a Nemesis wheel clamp for my trailer.  In spite of the spec saying it is suitable for 10" wheels, I find that it will not fit.  Has anyone else had this problem.  It will be a superb clamp and at £78.45 total cost, quite a bargain but not if I cannot use it.

All of the adverts for this product I have seen apart from one say its for 12 inch wheels or greater or sizes 145-255 which is above a 10 inch wheel.

Do they have two sizes of the same clamp and you have ended up with the wrong one. I would like to know as we are thinking of a clamp for our trailer.

Cheers

Looking into it right now and will post result on forum.  Trouble is when it arrives on Friday and you don't find out it's wrong until Saturday, there is no-one available to answer the questions.

Situation solved.  In spite of some ads which say that the Nemesis will fit wheels of 10" and above, this is not the case.  The minimum size is actually 12".  TRAILER OWNERS BEWARE.  Back to the drawing board to find a clamp for my trailer.  Shame about the Nemesis as it seems to be the best on the market.

Hi
We use a Nemesis clamp with an Elddis van. It is difficult and fiddly to fit, as well as being heavy to carry. In particular, you occasionally need to rotate the wheel in order to be able to position the clamp through a gap in the spokes. It should be able to fit on either side of the van, but occasionally the suspension arm gets in the way if you try to fit it on the door side.

Not having tried anything else I don't know how this compares, but we are currently looking for an alternative!

Further to my previous posts, have now purchased a Stronghold 8-10inch wheelclamp which is ideal for my trailer and understand it comes in other sizes.  It has a good security rating and is not excessively heavy.

Works perfectly with my trailer, good luck with your own search.

Is this the big orange coloured clamp that completely covers the wheel bolts by use of a circular metal disc?

If so, I bought one (or was it the Genesis? Prhaps a larger version of the same model?) for my Land Rover. The adverts state that it fits (all?) wheels up to 22" and as my Land Rover has 16" wheels thought that there would be no problem.....

Oh how wrong I was! There just was not enough adjustment on the clamp to allow the two parts to be connected when the leg and the disc were placed correctly against the wheel.

Shame, because I bought it at the CC national rally some years ago at a substantial discount and had to return it.

Double shame, because I should have kept it and used it on the caravan on those occasions when it was tricky or I couldn't be bothered to line up the Alko Diamond wheel locks!

We use an SAS Original Steel Wheel Clamp.

It is a one piece wheel clamp for steel wheels that is quick and easy to fit and covers a wheel nut to stop wheel removal.

Fits to wheels from 10 to 15 inch and tyre widths upto 195mm. Fits steel wheels only.

Cost £79.99, includes carry case.
