hi there,

I am planning to be in my caravan a lot during the winter months (Mid Nov to end feb) and am wondering who may have a suitable generator I could borrow/loan - without breaking the bank (HSS charge 50£ per week on longterm loan which is out of the question - I can afford say 10£ per week?

Any recommendations?

I know it is costly £50 a week to hire one but in that hiring price insurance is included so if it breaks it is covered.

If you borrowed one from someone off here say and it broke you would probably end up having to shell out for a replacement or at very least getting it repaired which could mount to alot depending on the problem.

If you are going to be using it long term it may as well be more wise to purchase one as other posters have said.

Check out your Yellow pages there may be someone hiring at cheaper rates than HSS, check the buy and sell papers too!
