I wear crocs in the shower.. so does my partner and my little girl. There is no way im standing in a shower cubicle that hundreds of others have stood in before me.. Im a bit of a clean freak/ slightly OCD so there is no way im going in that shower without my crocs on!

No problem providing you don't walk to and fro the shower in them. More germs and diseases are carried in on the soles of the shoes than ever come off bare feet.

So then, Mr Clever Clogs, you wear normal shoes into the facility which gets all that scary mud with germs and diseases onto the floor, then take them off.... and then what? Jump into the shower cubicle or use some sort of teleport system? Anyway, you then shower, leaving your flakes of athletes foot and verrucas on the floor in the cubicle....and climb back to where you left your shoes, get dressed and shod and walk back out in yer grubby shoes, leaving behind those germs and diseases you took in.... Unless you somehow get to the shower cubicle from your tent without touching the floor at all, then you will still be leaving germs and diseases in the shower facility.

You may as well just keep your crocs on, wash everything down properly and keep your athletes foot and verrucas to yourself, while at the same time not picking up someone else;s muck on your feet!

First rule of camping for me is take my shower flip flops. They are a cheap pair only used for this purpose cos I am pathetically squeamish about communal showers they make my toes curl tbh. So no mud etc because I only keep them for this. Always mop out shower if mop is provided. It seems to me most problems occur when people let their children go and get a shower by themselves as the kids probably don't realise if they've left a trail of muddy foot marks.

Normal shoes to the shower, take them off at the door, on go the shower shoes (flip flops) and when you leave, the same process in reverse.

Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
