Fantastic idea - I wish somebody had sent me one when I was starting out!

Tenacious tape, rock pegs, head torch, batteries, travel toiletry bottles (for washing up liquid, etc), gas lighter, insect repellent, acrylic wine glasses + cork screw.

Forget the tent peg puller, get a claw hammer, much better imo

Rectangular plastic box with a clip-on lid for keeping tent pegs and claw hammer in - I got one with a handle on for £2.99 from one one of our cheap shops

Cool! I would have loved a camping hamper - in fact I still would!!

This would have been on my list:

cooks matches and / or some form of lighter (amazing how many times we managed to forget this in the past), bottle opener, tin opener, micro fibre towel (space saving godsends!), those round LED lights, insect repellant, fly zapper bat, descent pegs (rock / delta), army knife, hot water bottle, alcohol (naturally!), ordinance map of the place they are most likely to camp at.........

Just read what everyone else has put. Love the idea of travel sized bottles to decant shampoo, shower gel etc.
