I recently bought a mini oven. I think it is 1300 watts in total (only 5.65 amps). It will bake, toast, grill, and if you put veg inside in a heat proof container it will heat/boil/steam. I can even boil my 750 watt kettle at the same time

I use a multicooker that cost £18.99 from B and M. You can't put pans on it of course as it is the pan but you can cook most one pot things in there and we also manage to cook a full english in there too (and even keep the beans apart from the bacon though stopping the egg from mixing is a bit more of a challenge)
I have used this fine on an 8 amp powered pitch in France (with the fridge and water heater also connected at the same time)
The Aldi induction hob works wonderfully for us. The downside was having to purchase a couple of compatible pans but having said that the pay off in controllability and cleanliness make it all worthwhile.
I don't know any other cooker that has temperature setting like this, yep, just set to simmer and leave it to get on. Even has a timer. Brilliant
If I were to get an electric hob, I would opt for an induction one. Just can't justify the expense when I already have 6 other hobs that runs on butane/butane and propane mix/dual fuel/meth at my disposal.

I got the double electric hob and a single induction one
As mentioned the induction one you end up forking out for pans - also the one i had was very fickle and just kept cutting out
The double electric hob is ok, but I prefer the gas. It takes quite a while to heat up, and if you want to use it, it means switching off the fan heater etc etc
I bought a single induction hob from aldi for £20 in September (reduced to clear) - but I think they are usually under £30 anyway but they only get them in seasonally. I spent £6 on a set of pans from ikea which work with induction cookers thanks to recommendation from someone on here. Its easy to quickly screw the handles on and off. I invested in one for short trips when I don't need a full kitchen set up - just the portable BBQ and this will do the job.
I have an single induction and twin elec. hob. All brilliant. Just got Argos sale offers in Sunday's paper and there is a Breville twin hob for half price at £29. Looks very tidy.

I got a Coleman Dual Fuel 2-burner stove this weekend, therefore, it is even more unlikely that I would get an induction hob now!

1 kwatt means you draw a little over 4 amps so 2 kw means about 8.5 so 3kw means 13 amps if you keep those figures in your head then yopu whouls be ok as long as you KNOW how many amps you can draw on site. caravans have only 1 electric ring these days and they are only about l kw slower but useful and not a problem we use it all the time you must always know how many watts you are going to use if you fail to do this BINGO BOTHER
