Hi.Can anyone shed some light on a problem I have got, with my riviera monaco gas heater. In my Talbot express Camelot. The gas fire will start normally. But only work for about 5 mins before turning off.The flame looks as though it is being blown out.I did see on this site. That a chap called "biker Bill".Had reported the same problem as I have, with his fire.If you got a reply Bill, could you contact me with any help,if you solved your problem.Or if anyone can offer any advice, please message me.Thanks
Hi,
I know this is an old thread, but may help someone.
The answer is that in lighting these heaters you need to leave them on the minimum for a good 5 min before turning the heat up. This heats the flue and starts a draw effect, if you don't the flue doesn't draw and when turning up too quickly it's like a match in a bottle, the oxygen in the combustion chamber gets used up and the flame goes out.
Somewhere on the net there is a manual and the procedure is in it, but I'm struggling to find it, if I do I'll post it here for others.
