We have an Outdoor Revolution Compactalite awning, for the summer hols we will probally need an inndr tent for it, however just wondering if anyone uses a popup tent for the awning rather than an inner tent or is this just a daft idea?

Popup tents are sometimes used as an extra berth in a tent as they can be collapsed/ dumped elsewhere during the day for more room. I can't see why you couldn't do the same in an awning.

If your buying a pop-up tent my advice would be to get a double skinned one that can be used outside without too many condensation problems if needbe.

Its no fun being woken up during the night by drips of moisture on your head and face from condensasion off the roof of a single skinned cheapy!

I got a couple of those Tesco 2 person tents for 4 pounds in the sales for exactly this.

TEFKAS - mine were a fiver tested it in the living room had great fun packing it away.

You be careful taking those things out of their bags in the living room (or anywhere else for that matter).

I've heard the stories of over zealous campers, who just can't wait to see what their new tent looks like; They just open the zip, to take a quick peak inside, then.....
BLAM!!
They've taken out `half the ornaments on the mantle piece!

Quite a few people I know use pup tents in their awnings for the kids as they get a bit older, gives mum and dad a bit of privacy in the van
